Extend Developer

Role overview A consulting role focused on Workday Extend implementations for federal sector clients. The position blends hands-on technical delivery with client advisory work, helping agencies design and deploy custom Workday solutions across HR, finance, and analytics modules. It is suited to a senior consultant who can lead client sessions, mentor teammates, and contribute reusable assets to a broader delivery capability.

Responsibilities - Facilitate client workshops to gather reporting and design requirements, then translate them into Workday Extend solutions. - Develop deep expertise across Workday Extend, including integrations with HCM, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Financials, Talent, and Prism. - Build dashboards, embedded analytics, and prototypes that demonstrate design options to stakeholders. - Advise clients on industry-leading practices for Workday Extend architecture, development, and reporting. - Lead, mentor, and counsel project staff depending on the engagement structure. - Contribute to innovation by creating new delivery methods, accelerators, and reusable assets.

Requirements - Active Workday Extend certification. - Consulting background with recent experience at the Senior Consultant level or equivalent, ideally with a large consulting firm. - Hands-on track record delivering Workday implementations end to end. - Experience gathering requirements, designing, prototyping, testing, and deploying reporting solutions. - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work history (roughly twelve years of relevant experience, or six years with an associate degree).

Nice to have - Prior federal HR or federal IT experience. - Three or more years implementing Workday with a certified Workday implementer. - Current Workday Integrations certification. - Comfort operating in fast-changing environments and team-oriented delivery models.
