Remote job
Senior Customer Trust Analyst, EMEA
Job details
About this role
Role overview A senior individual contributor is needed to stand up a customer trust program across EMEA for a cybersecurity SaaS provider. The position is the first of its kind in the region and acts as the bridge between customer security expectations and the company's internal control environment, with direct accountability for unblocking revenue at scale rather than individual deals. The role partners closely with regional Engineering, Sales, Security, and Legal teams to design response strategy for the highest-stakes security reviews.
Responsibilities - Build and own the EMEA customer trust program from scratch, including prioritization, escalation paths, and resolution norms for security conversations. - Translate customer security and privacy requirements into internal controls, evidence, and product or operational requirements that engineering and operations teams can act on. - Present the company's control environment directly to senior buyers, designing response strategy for high-stakes reviews rather than reacting question by question. - Track and drive resolution of gaps between customer expectations and the actual control environment, documenting outcomes and communicating them back to customers. - Monitor shifts in the regulatory landscape, including the EU AI Act and GDPR, and adjust how controls are presented as requirements evolve. - Maintain accurate content in trust platforms (Responsive and a trust center portal) and report program status, health, and deal risk to senior leadership and Sales.
Requirements - Seven to ten years of experience in customer-facing security, trust, or compliance roles at a SaaS or technology company. - Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 42001, RFPs, and security questionnaires, with proven ability to translate customer requirements into internal controls and evidence. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience explaining complex security and privacy concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Demonstrated project management ability to drive resolution across internal teams when customer expectations conflict with reality. - Experience helping customers build trust with products in scope for the EU AI Act and GDPR. - Experience engaging with German works councils, comfort operating as a self-starter and de facto leader without an established local team or playbook.
Nice to have - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. - CIPP/E, CIPM, CISM, CISSP, CTPRP, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification. - Hands-on experience with Responsive and SafeBase Trust Center tooling. - Background in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company.
