Software Engineer II - Critical Email Products

Role overview A mid-level backend software engineering role on a team building critical email security capabilities for enterprise customers, based in Singapore. The work focuses on features that let organizations fully consolidate on a modern email security platform and move off legacy secure email gateways, with direct line-of-sight to customer impact at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain backend services that power a suite of email-security product features. - Design and evolve event-driven pipelines, including Kafka consumers and Airflow DAGs, that process email traffic reliably. - Operate across a multi-tenant, multi-cloud footprint spanning commercial and regulated environments. - Use AI-augmented development tools to explore solutions and ship higher-quality code faster. - Collaborate with product and cross-functional partners to deliver capabilities that unblock customer migrations. - Strengthen service reliability, observability, and operational practices as the product surface scales.

Requirements - Three or more years of professional software development experience. - Backend development experience with Python or Go. - Experience building scalable, enterprise-grade applications. - Working knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes. - Solid fundamentals in computer science, data structures, and performance optimization.

Nice to have - Hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar assistants. - Familiarity with event-driven systems using Kafka, SQS, or comparable messaging and stream-processing patterns. - Knowledge of email delivery pipelines, authentication standards such as DMARC, DKIM, and SPF, or email-security products. - Exposure to multi-tenant SaaS architectures and enterprise integrations with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. - Experience improving reliability, observability, and operational tooling in production systems. - Prior work in cybersecurity, email security, or compliance-adjacent domains.
