About this role
Role overview A 100% remote LatAm opening targets a principal-level AI engineer who will set the technical direction for applied AI across an AI-native organization. The role suits a former technical founder, co-founder, or founding engineer with the scars of taking AI products to market. It pairs hands-on prototyping with thought leadership, consulting, and team enablement, working at the specification and acceptance layer of an agentic engineering model.

Requirements - 12+ years building AI/ML systems, with production experience shipping and operating them. - Fluency with the modern LLM stack: frontier models, RAG, vector databases, agentic frameworks, plus the evaluations and guardrails needed for production trust. - Comfort working in a spec-and-harness model using agentic coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor. - Track record leading large, complex projects and integrating ML and generative models with web and mobile applications. - Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into AI opportunities and communicate them to non-technical executives. - Excellent English verbal and written communication.
Nice to have - Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with an AI/ML focus. - Experience with MCP, graph-based retrieval, or multimodal pipelines.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote across LatAm. - 40 hours per week during regular business hours. - Compensation paid in USD. - 18 days of paid time off per year, observance of local holidays, and a year-end break. - Wellness and remote stipends plus an AI learning voucher.
