Role overview A senior product leadership role owning the vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for billing and collections across a large-scale commerce platform. The position sits at the intersection of payments, subscriptions, and customer trust, turning complex financial workflows into reliable, intelligent experiences for operators and their end users in a remote-first environment.
Responsibilities - Own the long-term vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for billing and collections, balancing customer value, revenue, risk, and engineering complexity - Build deep customer and market insight through operator feedback, competitive research, and product analytics to identify the highest-impact opportunities - Partner with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Customer Success, and Go-To-Market teams to ship reliable billing experiences - Drive improvements across subscriptions, recurring payments, invoicing, dunning, notifications, payment recovery, and automation, including thoughtful application of AI - Define and operationalize product metrics, running experiments and analyses to guide decisions and measure impact on payment success, involuntary churn, recovery, adoption, and cost efficiency
Requirements - 10+ years of product management experience with a track record of owning complex products from strategy through launch - Background in payments, billing, fintech, SaaS subscriptions, commerce, or a closely related domain - Strong customer empathy, business judgment, and analytical skills with the ability to convert ambiguous problems into clear bets and measurable outcomes - Demonstrated cross-functional leadership aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders through competing priorities - Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to frame trade-offs precisely for executives, engineers, and customer-facing teams
Nice to have - Hands-on experience with subscription billing, dunning or payment recovery, payment routing, risk or fraud, API-based platforms, or data and AI-powered product capabilities
