QA Analyst II

Role overview

Own quality testing across a suite of web applications, working closely with an agile development team to check that features work as intended from the user interface through backend services. The role emphasizes hands-on manual testing, careful defect investigation, and clear reporting that helps teams prioritize fixes and maintain release quality.

Responsibilities

- Work with developers to understand requirements and turn them into detailed test plans and cases. - Test front-end and backend behavior through user interfaces, APIs, and database access. - Perform manual, regression, usability, and exploratory testing, identifying gaps in coverage. - Record, analyze, and track defects; investigate root causes and communicate their impact. - Share testing progress, blockers, risks, and status metrics with relevant teams. - Adapt testing priorities as products and deadlines change, supporting multiple teams as needed.

Requirements

- Two or more years of quality assurance experience with web applications and API testing. - Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Familiarity with SQL and relational or other database concepts. - Ability to use AI tools effectively, write precise prompts, and validate generated output for accuracy. - Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to investigating quality issues. - Able to work independently with limited supervision while collaborating across teams.

Benefits and work setup

This is a full-time, salaried remote position with a Monday–Friday schedule of 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Eastern Time. The advertised pay range is $65,000–$78,000, depending on experience.
