(Senior) Product Manager Heating & Cooling (m/f/d)

Role overview

Own the heating and cooling product area for households, covering space heating, hot water, and cooling delivered through connected hardware and an energy management system. The role focuses on creating reliable comfort at sensible cost while coordinating hardware partners, control software, customer experience, and market-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

- Define the product strategy and roadmap for heating and cooling across the markets served. - Establish measurable customer outcomes for comfort, cost, control, and reliability, together with the KPIs that demonstrate progress. - Translate hardware limitations, field realities, and partner requirements into focused product specifications. - Drive thermal optimization within the energy management system. - Align equipment, control software, and customer-facing experiences into a coherent household solution. - Lead discovery, write specifications, prioritize initiatives, and support delivery with engineering teams.

Requirements

- At least 5 years of product management experience with hardware-software products, energy, HVAC, or comparable physical systems. - Experience owning a customer outcome across more than one engineering team. - Comfort working across OEM interfaces, optimization logic, and customer user experience. - Excellent English and German. - Based in Germany or willing to relocate.

Nice to have

- Experience with heat pumps, SG Ready, EEBus, Modbus, or OEM cloud APIs. - Field or installer experience. - Background in thermal optimization or home energy management involving heat pumps. - Experience delivering heating and cooling products in more than one country.
