Senior Full-Stack PHP Developer

Role overview A senior PHP developer is needed to join a small core engineering team maintaining and extending a mature, cloud-based ERP platform used by distribution companies to run inventory, orders, purchasing, accounting, and warehouse operations. This is ongoing production work on a complex existing codebase rather than a greenfield build, with direct visibility into how shipped code affects real business outcomes. The ideal candidate integrates AI coding assistants into their daily workflow.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and ship new ERP modules spanning inventory, orders, purchasing, accounting, and warehouse workflows - Develop and optimize Doctrine entities, repositories, and PostgreSQL queries against large production datasets - Implement API Platform state providers and processors following current Symfony 7 conventions - Build and maintain integrations with third-party services including payment processors, tax engines, shipping carriers, and CRM platforms - Write async handlers for background processing and data pipelines using a message-based architecture - Modify React and TypeScript frontend components to support new features, plus assist with server administration and infrastructure tasks

Requirements - Several years of senior-level PHP development experience with Symfony and Doctrine ORM in production - Strong PostgreSQL skills, including query optimization for large datasets - Comfort with API-first backend design, ideally using API Platform or comparable frameworks - Working knowledge of React and TypeScript sufficient to build and modify UI components - Linux server proficiency: shell usage, basic service management, and infrastructure tooling familiarity - Experience with Docker, Redis, message queues, and CI/CD pipelines with automated testing (PHPUnit and end-to-end suites)

Nice to have - Background in ERP, distribution, supply chain, or B2B SaaS environments - Ability to ramp up on an unfamiliar codebase quickly and ship independently with minimal hand-holding - Clear English communication skills
