Role overview A senior Next.js engineer is needed to take full ownership of web application projects for a modern B2B e-commerce storefront, with ongoing expansion across an established ERP ecosystem. This is a long-term, full-time primary developer position where architecture, deployment, and roadmap decisions rest with the engineer, in close collaboration with a core backend engineering team.
Responsibilities - Drive the storefront to production launch for the first client, including end-to-end order flow testing, email notification flows, and final polish - Extend and maintain the public REST API, keeping OpenAPI documentation current - Evolve an extensive admin dashboard covering product management, CMS, and analytics configuration - Improve the product sync engine that pulls catalog and inventory data from the ERP - Build new Next.js applications as the broader platform expands - Collaborate directly with the core ERP engineering team and end customers using the storefront
Requirements - 5+ years of hands-on Next.js and React experience at a senior level - Deep familiarity with the modern React ecosystem, including Server Components, App Router, TypeScript strict mode, and Tailwind CSS - Comfort with relational databases and ORMs such as Drizzle, Prisma, or similar - Proven ability to ramp up on an existing codebase quickly, including repos configured for AI-assisted development - Daily fluency with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex) treated as core workflow utilities - Self-directed problem solver with strong English communication skills
Nice to have - Experience with B2B e-commerce, ERP integrations, or REST API design
