About this role

Role overview

A mobile poker studio is hiring a UI/UX Designer to shape the look and feel of a flagship poker game played by millions of players worldwide. The role is weighted roughly 70% toward visual UI craft and 30% toward UX strategy, sitting inside a fast-paced live-service team that ships regular content updates. It is a hands-on design position for someone who can move between pixel-level polish and structural product thinking.

Responsibilities

- Build high-fidelity UI layouts, menus, icon systems, HUD components, and screen flows that meet the game's production and aesthetic bar. - Partner with the art team to define, refine, and maintain a unified visual language and thematic art style across features. - Design micro-interactions, motion graphics, and functional animations that give UI elements tactile feedback and polish. - Collaborate with technical artists and engineers to integrate UI assets, prefabs, and design systems into the game engine. - Produce clean, optimized, production-ready UI art for live-ops content on a recurring cadence. - Develop user flows, information architecture, wireframes, and clickable prototypes for new features. - Take part in usability testing, heuristic reviews, and competitor teardowns to inform design choices. - Work with product managers and game designers to clarify requirements and ensure player trust and engagement, contributing to critiques, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in HCI, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 3–5 years of UI/UX experience in game development or interactive media, with at least one or two shipped titles. - Advanced proficiency in visual hierarchy, layout, typography, color theory, iconography, and asset creation for mobile or cross-platform games. - Solid working knowledge of UX practices, including wireframing, user flows, rapid prototyping, and user psychology. - Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Figma, the Adobe Creative Suite, and Unity UI tools or comparable game engine interfaces. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain visual design decisions to cross-functional partners in a live-service environment. - A portfolio that demonstrates polished game UI assets, motion or micro-interaction work, and supporting UX documentation such as wireframes and flows.

Nice to have

- Experience contributing to a casino, card, or social game title is a plus but not required.

Benefits and work setup

- The studio describes a world-class benefits package for its teams; specifics are available during the interview process. - The employer is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusive hiring and to providing accommodations for candidates with disabilities or impairments throughout the application and interview process.
