Role overview Join a central analytics team at a major mobile games publisher to build the data marts, tooling, and AI-powered workflows that shape player experience across a portfolio of titles. The role focuses on enabling analysts and game teams through scalable engineering rather than answering one-off questions, sitting at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and applied AI. It is well suited to a senior engineer who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities - Write and optimize complex SQL queries that power experimentation, feature engineering, and large-scale analytics across player datasets - Design, build, and maintain cross-game data marts that give analysts clean, trustworthy, ready-to-use datasets - Develop scalable, reusable code, tools, and frameworks that can be adopted across multiple game teams - Partner with game analytics teams to co-design and maintain data tools and products used in many applications - Build and maintain end-to-end AI pipelines that support everyday analyst tasks and boost team productivity - Share knowledge across the team by teaching analysts coding and software engineering best practices
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or physics - Advanced SQL skills, including CTEs, query optimization, and large-scale data warehouse experience - Advanced experience building and maintaining production data pipelines with tools such as Airflow, Docker, S3, and CI/CD workflows - Advanced Python skills for production-level data analytics solutions - Basic to intermediate experience integrating LLMs or working with generative AI tools and workflows - Collaborative, fast-learning, detail-oriented mindset with strong written and verbal communication
Nice to have - Experience creating and maintaining dashboards in Tableau or a similar BI tool - Background in mobile gaming or marketing analytics
