Role overview A senior analytics role focused on improving repayment outcomes and optimizing collections strategy within a digital consumer lending business. The position owns end-to-end analytics that translate complex data into recommendations shaping short- and long-term performance, partnering with stakeholders across risk, operations, and external collections vendors.
Responsibilities - Lead analytics on initiatives aimed at improving repayment rates and reducing collection costs over both short and long horizons. - Build monitoring capabilities that surface trends, anomalies, and emerging risks across the credit portfolio. - Evaluate and optimize third-party debt collection agency performance, working closely with vendor partners. - Apply AI-enabled tooling to automate insights, streamline decision-making, and improve operational outcomes. - Partner cross-functionally on high-visibility strategic initiatives, taking ownership from problem definition through recommendation delivery. - Communicate findings clearly to varied audiences, from working analysts to senior leadership.
Requirements - Five or more years working as a risk or data analyst in credit risk, fraud risk, or collections; candidates with three or more years and an advanced degree may also be considered. - Expert-level SQL skills, with working knowledge of Python or PySpark preferred. - Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. - Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence decision-makers proactively. - Self-organized, comfortable operating independently, and able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment. - Background in finance or lending preferred, with a demonstrated ability to extract meaningful insight from numbers.
