Role overview
A remote-first engineering team is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to safeguard the availability, performance, and operability of its production systems. The role works closely with product engineers, designers, and product owners to deliver reliable software and scale services globally.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement SRE practices including SLOs, error budgets, monitoring, and incident response. - Build and maintain tooling that improves the reliability and operability of production systems. - Partner with cross-functional teams to embed reliability considerations into the development lifecycle. - Take ownership of incident management, post-incident reviews, and follow-up improvements. - Drive technical excellence through automation, capacity planning, and continuous improvement. - Mentor junior engineers and help cultivate a positive, collaborative remote culture.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional software engineering experience in a relevant role. - Strong expertise in the methodologies and tools associated with site reliability engineering. - Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to clean, maintainable code and operational designs. - Strong verbal and written communication skills in English for distributed teamwork. - A passion for mentoring and contributing to team culture.
