Remote job
Software Engineer: Agentic Software Development
Job details
About this role
Role overview Build the engineering practices and infrastructure that let a small team use software agents to develop and ship dependable products. You’ll shape the full development loop—from clarifying human intent and assigning work to reviewing results, releasing changes, and improving the process from each outcome. The role spans developer tooling, build systems, and team workflows in a large TypeScript monorepo.
Responsibilities - Design workflows for scoping, delegating, implementing, reviewing, and releasing agent-assisted work. - Own CI, caching, tests, and release tools, keeping feedback fast and build results meaningful. - Develop agent tools such as parallel worktrees, review gates, evaluations, and codebase guidance. - Turn build failures and review feedback into reusable instructions, skills, and tooling. - Track quality, delivery speed, cost, and human review effort; identify and remove bottlenecks.
Requirements - Strong software engineering experience and the ability to take ownership of cross-cutting systems. - Practical judgment about how to verify work produced with AI agents, including handling plausible but incorrect results. - Experience improving developer workflows, build and test infrastructure, or engineering productivity. - Ability to balance fast feedback with reliable checks and maintainable test coverage.
Benefits and work setup - Full-time engineering role, remote across US or EU time zones. - US-based hires are offered a stated base salary range of $215,000–$325,000 and equity.
