Role overview This is a senior individual contributor role focused on designing and evolving test automation for web and backend systems across multiple product streams. The position blends hands-on coding with framework ownership and quality advocacy, working closely with engineering teams to embed reliable automated testing into continuous delivery pipelines.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain automated tests for web applications and backend services - Develop and continuously improve test automation frameworks and reusable libraries - Plan and structure test scenarios and test cases aligned with feature requirements - Implement API and backend test automation, integrating suites into CI/CD pipelines - Execute and support performance testing activities as part of release readiness - Review existing automation approaches and champion best practices across teams
Requirements - At least five years of professional experience in software test automation - Strong hands-on skills with an object-oriented language, preferably Java - Practical experience with Playwright for end-to-end browser testing - Familiarity with cloud-based device and browser platforms such as BrowserStack - Working knowledge of CI/CD tooling, ideally Jenkins, and of SQL for data validation - Experience with Postman and backend test libraries such as RestAssured or RestSharp - Solid grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle and structured test design - Professional English at B2 level or above - Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery quality - Eligibility to work from within the European Union with a valid work permit
Nice to have - Structured application of generative AI inside the SDLC, including prompt patterns or embedded workflow integrations - Curiosity about agent-based and AI-augmented development practices, with willingness to experiment beyond standard tooling
