Generative AI Engineer

Role overview Design and deliver generative AI capabilities and agentic workflows for tools used to manage aerospace specifications and certifications. The work covers production applications end to end, including model orchestration, backend services, data integration, and evaluation, with an emphasis on reliable behavior in a regulated setting.

Responsibilities - Build and integrate LLM and SLM workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, and agent-based features. - Develop backend APIs and connect AI workflows to databases and other application components. - Evaluate model outputs, track performance measures, and improve feature stability and predictability. - Collaborate with product and engineering colleagues to take ML projects from initial idea to production. - Support AI capabilities for specification generation, checks, and document creation.

Requirements - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related technical field. - At least three years of software development experience, using Python or another language. - At least two years integrating LLMs in production, including RAG and agent orchestration frameworks. - Familiarity with testing and LLM evaluation, REST APIs, databases, and basic frontend development. - Experience with inference optimization tools and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently, take ownership, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have - A master’s degree or doctorate in computer science or a related field. - Experience deploying ML systems with containers, orchestration, CI/CD, cloud services, model serving, and monitoring. - Strong Linux skills, including system services and networking.
