AI Tutor - Uzbek

Role overview

Help improve an AI assistant’s Uzbek speech and language capabilities by contributing high-quality linguistic data and localization. The work spans audio annotation, English-to-Uzbek translation and the evaluation of natural pronunciation, phrasing and cultural nuance in speech used by a global product.

Responsibilities

- Label and assess multilingual recordings, audio clips and speech samples using internal tools. - Translate and localize interface text, prompts and responses from English into natural, accurate Uzbek. - Help create and evaluate speech data for clarity, accent, rhythm, intonation and other pronunciation details. - Work with technical colleagues to improve annotation guidance and tools for varied accents, recording conditions and speech patterns.

Requirements

- Uzbek proficiency at CEFR C1 level or higher. - English proficiency at CEFR B2 level or higher. - Careful attention to linguistic accuracy and natural-sounding language.

Nice to have

- Native-level Uzbek and English at C1 or higher. - Experience with advanced transcription, audio annotation, translation or localization between English and Uzbek. - Voice recording, voice acting, podcasting or other audio-production experience. - Study or practical experience in linguistics, phonetics, speech science or speech-data work.

Benefits and work setup

- Remote work is available from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada or Australia. Visa sponsorship is not available, and occasional travel to a work site may be required. - The role may be full-time or part-time depending on business needs and availability; full-time work follows standard local business hours. Contracts are typically fixed-term for six months, with possible extension or conversion depending on needs. - For US-based candidates, the stated rate is $35–45 per hour, depending on experience, skills, education, location and qualifications.
