Role overview A senior project manager opportunity focuses on growing geospatial services within the aviation sector, leading client relationships, business development, and project delivery. The role combines technical oversight of geospatial programs with strategic pipeline development and industry thought leadership to expand market presence in airport-focused geospatial solutions.
Responsibilities - Collaborate with the aviation geospatial practice lead and dedicated staff to deliver practice goals and expand aviation services. - Develop and support a pipeline of new and existing business opportunities for geospatial services at airports. - Build partnerships with other aviation consultants to win and perform projects. - Maintain a thought-leader presence by preparing aviation-related articles and speaking at regional conferences. - Lead project delivery to ensure quality, customer satisfaction, financial performance, and team satisfaction. - Monitor and forecast metrics including backlog, profit and loss, sales, net revenue, utilization, continuing education, and non-billable travel and expenses. - Lead shortlist presentations for prospective clients and participate in contract negotiations. - Provide quality reviews of project documentation from work plans through final deliverables. - Advise clients on innovative geospatial technology solutions to support better decision-making.
Requirements - Associate degree in a related field with ten or more years of related work experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field with five or more years of related work experience. - Understanding of FAA ADIP requirements and associated advisory circulars. - Knowledge of survey principles and experience with BIM, CAD, and GIS software. - Familiarity with National CAD and GIS Standards. - Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Willingness to travel to clients, conferences, and other offices.
Nice to have - AAAE, PMP, CP, GISP, PLS, or FAA IDLE certification. - Ability to quickly adapt to industry changes and internal initiatives.
