Senior React Native & React Engineer LATAM

Role overview

This is a lead-level engineering role centered on frontend and mobile architecture across web and native platforms. The position calls for someone who can independently set technical direction, design scalable systems, and convert loosely defined product needs into production-ready applications. The work is carried out in an AI-first delivery model on a lean, high-ownership team where engineers retain full accountability for quality.

Responsibilities

- Own frontend and mobile architecture decisions across React, React Native, and Next.js, balancing scalability, performance, and reliability - Build production-grade TypeScript applications spanning web and mobile environments - Define integration patterns around GraphQL APIs across the frontend, mobile, and API layers - Establish and enforce engineering standards covering code structure, testing, responsiveness, and developer experience - Use AI-assisted and agentic workflows with tools such as Cursor and Claude to accelerate research, planning, and implementation without compromising engineering judgment - Translate ambiguous product requirements into clear, well-scoped technical solutions - Apply practical knowledge of Kotlin/Java and Objective-C/Swift when integrating or debugging React Native on platform-specific layers

Requirements

- Strong proficiency in React, React Native, Next.js, and TypeScript - Substantial experience designing and consuming GraphQL APIs - Five or more years of hands-on production development experience - Demonstrated ability to make architecture decisions independently and own technical direction - Working knowledge of native mobile concepts in Kotlin/Java and Objective-C/Swift - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience - Excellent written and verbal English communication, including direct client interaction - Full-time remote availability aligned to EST or PST hours - Ability to pass a background check with strong references - Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude

- Background shaping system design, performance strategy, or testing strategy across web and mobile - Track record of raising engineering quality bars on lean, high-accountability teams
