About this role
Role overview A Solutions Engineer II role serving as the go-to technical partner for sales and customer success teams across the entire client lifecycle. The position partners with Account Executives on new business and with Customer Success Managers and Account Managers on existing accounts, scoping expansions, solving new use cases, and resolving complex website integration challenges. It is a client-facing technical role focused on delivering lasting platform value well beyond the initial sale.
Responsibilities - Act as the technical subject matter expert for Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and Account Managers across new business, renewals, and expansions. - Partner with customer success counterparts to scope expansion opportunities, custom configurations, and technical projects for existing clients. - Guide client web and development teams through solution deployment on brand websites, including JavaScript embeds, tags, pixels, and APIs, validating implementations and troubleshooting issues. - Lead requirement gathering, discovery, and data-transfer discussions that align client needs with platform capabilities. - Deliver tailored product demonstrations and technical architecture overviews to enterprise audiences and support RFI, RFP, and vendor assessments. - Relay client feedback to Product and maintain clear handoffs and technical documentation as the platform and processes evolve.
Requirements - 2–5 years of customer-facing technical experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, solutions consulting, technical account management, or implementation, ideally in SaaS. - Hands-on professional experience with website technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, CDNs, and APIs, including debugging front-end code with browser developer tools. - Experience supporting enterprise clients both pre- and post-sale, including expansion and technical projects inside existing accounts. - Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. - Proactive, self-directed approach with strong prioritization and problem-solving ability.
Nice to have - Experience with tag management platforms such as Google Tag Manager and tracking pixel implementation. - Familiarity with website analytics, digital marketing technologies, or SEO. - Experience with data and visualization tools such as Looker, Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, or relational databases and SQL. - Background in digital shelf management, digital merchandising, content syndication, or retail media. - Experience in eCommerce, retail technology, or commerce intelligence.
