Observability Specialist

Role overview

You’ll develop the observability platform that helps engineering teams understand and operate the systems behind large-scale payment services. Working with platform, infrastructure, database, and product engineering partners, you’ll improve how teams detect regressions, investigate incidents, and make decisions about system reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

- Improve visibility into production behavior across application services, APIs, databases, caches, background jobs, and infrastructure. - Evolve observability across Python services, GraphQL APIs, Postgres and CockroachDB, Kubernetes, cloud systems, and on-premises environments. - Help engineering teams identify problems and regressions earlier and understand how systems behave. - Make incident investigation and resolution more effective through better instrumentation and operational insight. - Support reliability and performance decisions with clearer information about production systems. - Partner with infrastructure, database, product engineering, and security teams on instrumentation needs.
