Member of Technical Staff

Role overview Become a founding engineer at a small, profitable startup building compute infrastructure and AI-powered developer tools. You'll contribute across multiple products, including a high-performance CI runner for GitHub Actions and an agentic harness for company knowledge. The role suits a generalist engineer with a founder's mindset who wants broad ownership rather than a narrow specialization.

Responsibilities - Contribute as an early team member across the full product surface, from backend systems to user-facing experiences. - Apply first-principles reasoning to ambiguous product and infrastructure problems, shipping end-to-end solutions. - Take ownership of customer-impacting decisions, treating product quality and user experience as core engineering concerns. - Operate with significant autonomy, choosing tools and approaches appropriate to each problem. - Communicate approaches, tradeoffs, and progress clearly across the team.

Requirements - Strong engineering background with the ability to move comfortably across systems, APIs, and product surfaces. - First-principles thinker with a demonstrated passion for product craft and user experience. - Entrepreneurial mindset, evidenced by prior founding experience, a substantial side project, or significant ownership in a previous role. - Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain technical decisions and reasoning. - Comfort working in a small team where scope and responsibilities evolve quickly.

Nice to have - Prior exposure to AI tooling, developer infrastructure, or CI/CD platforms. - Experience operating in early-stage or high-growth startup environments.
