About this role

Role overview A remote Principal Electrical Engineer role focused on analog and mixed-signal electronics for compact LiDAR sensors built on silicon photonic chips. The work spans the full design lifecycle for hardware modules used in robotics, autonomous systems, drones, and industrial automation, with strong emphasis on miniaturization, performance, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities - Architect analog and mixed-signal circuits using TIAs, ADCs, precision current sources, LDOs, and switching regulators - Own designs from concept through production, including schematics, component selection, and PCB layout collaboration - Maintain signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance across high-speed and noise-sensitive interfaces - Define and execute bring-up, characterization, and validation plans such as DVT and EVT, focused on robustness and manufacturability - Analyze trade-offs across performance, cost, power, and integration complexity in tightly constrained form factors - Partner with system architects, mechanical engineers, and firmware teams to ensure seamless system integration and reliability

Requirements - 7+ years of hands-on hardware development with end-to-end ownership of products shipped at scale - Deep expertise in low-noise analog and high-speed digital design - Strong grounding in signal and power integrity, high-density interconnect, and EMI mitigation - Proficiency with schematic capture and simulation tools such as SPICE, with working knowledge of Altium or similar - Experience with SI/PI simulation tools such as HyperLynx or SiWave, and lab instruments like GHz-range scopes, VNAs, and spectrum analyzers - Familiarity with board-level integration of FPGAs, microcontrollers, and custom analog ASICs

Nice to have - Experience with high-speed ADCs, custom analog IC interfaces, or photonics-related electronics - Knowledge of flex and rigid-flex PCB design - Familiarity with Verilog-AMS, mixed-signal modeling, or Verilog HDL and FPGA development - Background designing for high-reliability or harsh environments such as automotive or aerospace

Benefits and work setup - Competitive base salary plus a meaningful equity package - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage - Unlimited paid time off plus paid company holidays - Team events and company meetups
