Enterprise Systems Architect

Role overview

An Enterprise Systems Architect is needed to define and lead the technology architecture for cloud infrastructure, endpoint management, and manufacturing applications. This role partners across IT, cybersecurity, engineering, and plant operations to design secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that connect enterprise systems with manufacturing environments, spanning both classified and non-classified systems. It is a hands-on architecture position that owns technology strategy, design standards, integration, and technical oversight of implementation.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap covering Azure, endpoint management, and manufacturing application platforms. - Define Azure architecture standards for networking, identity, security, governance, resilience, monitoring, and cost management. - Establish Microsoft Intune architecture and standards for device enrollment, configuration profiles, application deployment, compliance, patching, and endpoint security. - Guide architecture, implementation, integration, and modernization of manufacturing execution and engineering systems such as Manufacturo, DELMIA Apriso, and Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE. - Design integrations among MES, PLM, ERP, quality systems, and enterprise data platforms, partnering with operational technology and plant operations teams on connectivity, security, and production availability. - Define identity and access patterns using Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control, single sign-on, and Conditional Access, while establishing lifecycle, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements. - Evaluate technology and vendor proposals for architectural fit, lead architecture reviews, and maintain diagrams, reference designs, and technical decision records.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Eight or more years of progressive experience in enterprise IT, infrastructure, or application architecture, including at least three years in an architecture leadership role. - Demonstrated experience designing and governing Microsoft Azure environments spanning identity, networking, security, monitoring, and hybrid connectivity. - Strong experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows endpoint management, application deployment, device compliance, and Microsoft Entra ID. - Experience architecting or integrating manufacturing or engineering applications, with familiarity in MES, PLM, ERP, traceability, and quality management systems. - Experience designing integrations using APIs, middleware, messaging, and enterprise data services, with the ability to design for security, availability, scalability, and recovery in production environments. - Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills, plus experience leading cross-functional technical projects.
