About this role

Role overview A principal-level opportunity to lead a European forward-deployment engineering team responsible for accelerating adoption of a physics-based AI hardware design platform across top semiconductor and electronics organizations. The role combines deep thermo-mechanical simulation expertise with customer-facing leadership, guiding enterprises through evaluation, validation, and deployment of next-generation design workflows.

Responsibilities - Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of thermo-mechanical engineers across Europe, setting technical direction and driving field execution. - Partner closely with sales to lead technical discussions, scope proof-of-concept evaluations, and deliver compelling product demonstrations to enterprise prospects. - Guide customer engineering teams through evaluation phases by overseeing simulation setup, running complex test cases, and interpreting results to demonstrate technical and business value. - Own customer enablement through onboarding, deployment pipelines, account expansion, structured training, and advanced troubleshooting. - Translate field feedback into actionable product input by partnering with internal product and engineering teams. - Represent the platform at major industry conferences and semiconductor events through technical presentations and live demonstrations.

Requirements - Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field. - Expert-level mastery of commercial simulation software (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus, or equivalent) with 15+ years of hands-on thermo-mechanical simulation experience. - Strong knowledge of semiconductor electronic packaging, advanced packaging technologies (e.g., 2.5D/3D IC), or foundry ecosystems. - Prior customer-facing experience with the ability to build trusted relationships with client engineering teams. - Practical programming experience in Python or C++ for workflow automation and simulation data analysis. - Proven managerial or technical leadership experience, with strong communication skills suited to both technical and executive audiences.

Nice to have - Familiarity with thermal management, cooling solutions, or Signal Integrity / Power Integrity (SI/PI) workflows. - Direct experience commercializing technical software (EDA or CAE tools) into major semiconductor and electronics enterprises. - Background in technical pre-sales, application engineering, or strategic technical sales.

Benefits and work setup - Fully remote position based in Paris or Grenoble, France, collaborating with teams in Palo Alto, CA. - Moderate travel across continental Europe, with occasional intercontinental travel to the US. - Full-time role within a fast-growing startup environment working at the convergence of AI, fundamental physics, and high-stakes enterprise engineering.
