Remote job
QA Tester
Job details
About this role
Role overview A hands-on manual QA role focuses on protecting quality across an AI-native video generation platform where users turn a simple idea into a fully produced video through coordinated AI agents. The tester owns end-to-end verification of features that span upload, processing, rendering, and output review, working closely with engineers and product to surface and resolve issues before they reach creators. The work combines disciplined test design with the curiosity to probe edge cases in a product whose outputs aren't always deterministic.
Responsibilities - Design and maintain test cases, checklists, and regression suites that cover new features and existing flows. - Run functional, UI, cross-browser, and cross-device testing on the web platform, including video generation and rendering pipelines from upload through final output. - Write clear, reproducible bug reports with steps to reproduce, expected versus actual results, environment details, and supporting evidence. - Verify fixes and execute regression passes ahead of each release, confirming that resolved issues stay resolved. - Partner directly with engineers and product managers to clarify ambiguous requirements and challenge assumptions early. - Keep QA documentation organized, accurate, and easy for the rest of the team to use.
Requirements - One to three years of experience in a manual QA or software testing role. - Solid grasp of QA fundamentals, including test case design, test types, the bug lifecycle, and the difference between severity and priority. - Hands-on experience testing web applications across browsers and devices. - Comfort using a bug tracker such as Jira or Linear alongside a test management tool like TestRail, Qase, Zephyr, or a well-structured spreadsheet. - Precise written communication skills, treating each bug report as a piece of writing that an engineer can act on without follow-up questions. - Working written and spoken English, plus a detail-obsessed mindset that catches misaligned pixels and off-by-one timestamps.
Nice to have - Basic API testing with Postman or a comparable tool. - Familiarity with browser dev tools, console logs, and the network tab. - Exposure to video, media, or creative tooling workflows. - Basic SQL skills for quick data verification. - Any prior exposure to test automation frameworks or scripts. - Interest in applying AI assistants such as large language models to accelerate testing workflows without losing critical judgment.
