Remote job
Ground Infrastructure Solutions Architect
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Define the ground-system architecture and feature direction for a platform that connects satellite and terrestrial cellular networks directly to devices. The role combines product strategy, systems engineering, and standards-focused execution, with responsibility for making network mobility and roaming coherent, interoperable, and practical to deploy at scale.
Responsibilities - Set end-to-end architecture across user equipment, radio access networks, core networks, and interworking functions. - Provide architectural direction for the platform roadmap, accounting for standards readiness, system constraints, and commercial priorities. - Specify principles, interfaces, and assumptions for operation across non-terrestrial and terrestrial networks. - Shape capabilities that allow devices to attach, roam, and maintain connectivity as they move between network types. - Coordinate technical decisions across product and engineering stakeholders to support interoperability and scalable deployment.
Requirements - Relevant degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field. - Experience designing ground infrastructure or mobile network systems across device, radio, or core network domains. - Ability to define system architecture and interfaces for complex, interconnected platforms. - Understanding of standards-aligned development and the trade-offs among technical constraints, interoperability, and commercial needs.
Benefits and work setup - Hybrid schedule based at a Carlsbad office, with at least three days onsite each week and the remaining workdays remote.
