Cloud Engineer, Temporary

Role overview Support the design, deployment, and operation of cloud and on-premises infrastructure in a mixed Linux and Windows environment, with a primary focus on Linux. This temporary role combines systems administration with cloud engineering and operational improvements, including secure infrastructure changes, automation, and support for enterprise applications and clusters.

Responsibilities - Contribute to infrastructure architecture, procurement, deployment, and ongoing support across on-premises systems and public cloud. - Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Linux servers and applications, with some Windows support. - Apply security improvements, patches, and upgrades using infrastructure-as-code practices. - Help establish cloud operations and DevOps capabilities, and review platform enhancements. - Document infrastructure and operating procedures, share knowledge across teams, and support project and IT operations staff. - Own implementations to demanding deadlines and explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.

Requirements - Technical experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on Amazon Web Services. - Demonstrated experience overseeing IT or cloud service delivery. - Strong Linux systems administration skills and experience scripting or automating operational work. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate clearly, and maintain secure and reliable services.

Nice to have - Red Hat or Microsoft vendor certifications.
