Role overview This senior technical support position functions as the final escalation point for a dedicated customer support team, focusing on the most complex, high-visibility, and sensitive client technical issues. The role blends deep hands-on troubleshooting across enterprise data, integration, and platform stacks with cross-team collaboration, mentorship, and readiness work that spans pre- and post-implementation phases. Applicants must currently reside in Oregon.
Responsibilities - Resolve highly complex, visible, and sensitive client technical issues through expert judgment and creative problem-solving. - Perform advanced troubleshooting across data-driven applications, relational databases, networking protocols, REST and SOAP APIs, Java, and Linux/Unix environments. - Act as a Customer Support liaison during pre- and post-implementation phases, ensuring technical readiness, continuity of support, and alignment with customer usage. - Partner with product, engineering, and support teams to communicate customer needs, support emerging technology rollouts, and develop scalable support processes and standards. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less senior staff, including managing escalations received from Tier 2 analysts. - Create, edit, and maintain technical knowledge base articles and best practice documentation, while maintaining shared support environments such as virtual machines, databases, and shared instances, and fulfilling on-call duties on a rotational basis.
Requirements - 6+ years of relevant experience in technical support, application troubleshooting, or systems engineering in a customer-facing or enterprise environment. - Strong SQL and relational database skills, plus hands-on experience with REST and SOAP web services, Oracle and SAP environments, and Linux/Unix. - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot data-driven applications connected to relational databases, XML sources, and high-volume web services. - Solid understanding of networking protocols and proven debugging skills across a broad range of technologies and programming languages. - Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix, shell programming, FTP scripting, and related scheduling tools. - Proven ability to manage high-stakes customer escalations with composure, professionalism, and sound judgment under pressure. - Ability to consistently work Pacific Time Zone hours to align with customer and team needs.
Nice to have - Familiarity with SAP NetWeaver architecture, integration technology, ABAP web services, and SAP Mobility platforms. - Experience developing or maintaining Big Data and Fast Data application environments. - Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Security, and Data Operations practices. - Exposure to VM environments, NAS, mainframe systems, and job scheduling tools such as TWS or ECG. - Prior experience supporting ERP tax integration solutions or enterprise software implementations. - A Master's degree in a relevant STEM discipline is welcome, including candidates currently completing or recently completing their academic programs.
Benefits and work setup - Reported US base salary range of $86,600 to $112,500, with potential eligibility for a bonus plan and/or equity grants. - On-call responsibilities shared on a rotational basis.
