Role overview A high-travel pre-sales engineering role focused on helping large enterprise customers adopt an integrated physical-security and IoT platform spanning video, access control, sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management. The position partners closely with territory account executives to win technical evaluations at Fortune 500 accounts, design end-to-end deployments, and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle. The work blends deep networking, cloud, and IoT expertise with consultative selling in a fast-scaling, growth-stage environment.
Responsibilities - Serve as the primary technical authority on the full product suite during prospect and customer engagements, translating capabilities into business value - Lead technical discovery, design deployment architectures, and respond to network security, bandwidth, LTE, and cloud security RFPs and documentation requests - Present solutions to varied audiences, from C-suite executives to loss-prevention managers and IT directors, addressing objections and securing the technical win - Partner with account managers to build and execute territory strategy for expanding footprint within large enterprise accounts - Produce white papers, knowledge-base articles, partner training, and conference talks that establish thought leadership across the security and IoT market - Travel more than 50% of the time, including international destinations, to support customer meetings, partner enablement, and team collaboration
Requirements - 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer supporting Fortune 500 or similarly complex enterprise accounts - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, IT Security, or a related technical field - Strong networking background covering HTTPS/SSL, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, DHCP, firewalls, and software system integrations - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for articulating technical concepts to non-technical and technical stakeholders - Hands-on familiarity with Linux systems, cloud security concepts, and IoT devices, with the ability to explain how hardware and software work together
Nice to have - Industry certifications such as AWS, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+, or Microsoft credentials - Prior experience at a high-growth startup
