Enterprise Solutions Engineer, Northeast SLED

Role overview

This field-based pre-sales engineering role partners with territory account executives to expand an integrated, cloud-based physical security platform (video security, access control, IoT sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management) into large enterprise and state, local, and education (SLED) accounts. The position is anchored in the Northeastern U.S., supports an upmarket motion, and centers on translating complex technical capabilities into clear value for buyers ranging from C-level executives to security directors and IT leaders.

Responsibilities

- Serve as the subject-matter authority on the full product portfolio, articulating value-added benefits across the sales cycle - Overcome technical objections, address architectural concerns, and secure the technical win on competitive evaluations - Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to diverse audiences, from C-level executives to loss-prevention and IT directors - Educate and enable partners, customers, and internal teams on product capabilities and differentiators - Partner with account executives to design deployment architectures and assist with proof-of-concept work - Travel more than 50% of the time (domestic and international) to support customer and partner engagements

Requirements

- 3+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer with a proven track record working with Fortune 500-sized organizations - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical matters to varied audiences - Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or security discipline from an accredited university - Solid networking foundation including HTTPS, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, DHCP, and firewalls - Working knowledge of cloud, IoT, Linux, security surveillance, and access-control systems

Nice to have

- Industry certifications such as AWS, CCNA/CCDA/CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+, Microsoft Azure, CISSP, or CSP - Hands-on experience with Active Directory, SAML/SCIM, APIs, and Python or other programming languages - Prior startup experience
