Remote job
Solutions Engineer
Job details
About this role
Role overview This is a new, client-facing solutions engineering role focused on the API layer across sales, implementation, and support. The position serves as a technical bridge between customers’ integration needs and what a healthcare software platform can realistically deliver, helping assess feasibility, scope implementation work, and maintain strong customer relationships. It is a high-ownership opportunity for someone who can reason clearly about APIs without needing deep backend engineering expertise and who is comfortable creating structure as the role evolves.
Responsibilities - Join early sales discussions for API and web application opportunities to assess technical fit and define implementation requirements. - Review statements of work for API and web application implementations, translating customer needs into clear and technically credible scope. - Support customers throughout implementation, answering integration questions and helping keep projects moving toward completion. - Act as an escalation resource for complex API-related support tickets, providing the technical context needed to investigate and resolve issues. - Partner with existing API customers on solution design and expansion conversations that may lead to additional adoption. - Coordinate with Sales, Implementation, Engineering, and Support so technical commitments, dependencies, and delivery expectations remain visible and on track.
Requirements - At least three years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or a comparable pre-sales role in B2B SaaS. - Working familiarity with APIs and integrations, including the ability to scope requirements and communicate confidently with technical stakeholders. - Experience scoping or reviewing statements of work with customers. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage directly with customers from the start. - Comfort working through ambiguity and taking initiative to establish processes where little precedent exists. - A customer-retention mindset, treating API relationships as long-term partnerships rather than isolated support interactions. - Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to work comfortably with customers, sales teams, and engineers.
Benefits and work setup - Fully distributed remote work across the United States and internationally. - Health, vision, and dental benefits, unlimited paid time off, startup equity, and company-provided equipment. - A collaborative, fast-moving environment that values impact, ownership, follow-through, rapid learning, and stepping in wherever support is needed.
