Role overview Join a frontline technical support team serving as the customer hotline for a data resilience and replication platform, providing one-on-one troubleshooting for IT professionals and feeding insights back to engineering. The role focuses on backup and virtualization environments, helping enterprise customers recover, verify, and confidently operate their data protection infrastructure.
Responsibilities - Perform deep troubleshooting and analysis, including investigation of log files across platform and third-party components. - Act as a primary technical point of contact for fellow IT professionals managing backup environments. - Take ownership of customer cases from first contact through resolution, including diagnosing known issues, defects, or misconfigurations and applying break/fix corrections. - Educate customers by explaining how processes and product interactions work. - Document every customer interaction accurately and within SLA inside the team's CRM tool.
Requirements - Fluent Italian and English across reading, writing, and speaking. - Advanced user or administrator-level experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025, plus Windows 10 and 11. - Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, operating-system and firewall configuration, and networking troubleshooting including NAT, ports, DHCP, and DNS. - Ability to quickly learn, understand, and clearly explain technical information to customers. - Strong sense of ownership and accountability for client issues through to resolution. - Solid time management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced support environment.
Nice to have - UNIX or Linux administration experience. - Familiarity with VMware ESX(i) or Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization platforms. - Microsoft Exchange server administration. - Database engine experience with SQL Server or Oracle.
