Senior C# Developer: Explorers/Identity Resilience
Job details
About this role
Role overview A senior engineer is needed to design and ship recovery flows across two adjacent product areas: full-forest Active Directory restoration after domain-wide outages, and granular item-level recovery for SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Exchange, and SharePoint. Both areas share the same architectural shape: a coordinating server driving a remote agent over a versioned contract to execute long-running operations that must survive failures at any step. The work sits inside a mature codebase and blends new feature design with steady refactoring of existing components.
Responsibilities - Design end-to-end recovery flows covering REST and gRPC contracts, server-side orchestration, and the on-target agent that performs the actual restore - Build PowerShell cmdlets as a first-class product surface, with parameter validation and a coherent object model - Layer pre-flight validation across the REST surface, server, and agent so failures are caught before a restore begins - Work close to the systems being recovered, including SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL internals, or Active Directory components such as domain controller promotion, SYSVOL, NTDS, DNS, Kerberos, and replication - Manage the lifecycle of long-running distributed sessions, including agent deployment, keep-alive, failure and timeout cleanup, and cancellation - Own the integration test suite for owned areas and keep it green - Refactor a long-lived codebase alongside new feature work
Requirements - 5+ years of commercial C# product development with deep knowledge of .NET, data structures, and algorithms - Hands-on experience designing service APIs (REST, gRPC, or similar) consumed externally where backward compatibility matters - Strong async and multithreading skills, including cancellation, session lifecycle management, and operations that can run for hours - Depth in at least one of: Windows Server and Active Directory administration or internals, or database recovery mechanics for SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL - Comfort navigating and safely refactoring a large existing codebase - Professional English for daily collaboration in an international team
Nice to have - PowerShell module development - Protobuf - Linux - Hypervisor APIs
Benefits and work setup - 25 vacation days, 4 sick days, 21 paid medical leave days, plus 4 additional global self-care days and 24 paid volunteer hours per year - Premium private medical insurance covering employees and dependents - Daily meal vouchers for restaurants and groceries (180 CZK per working day) - Flexible cafeteria platform with a broad range of lifestyle benefits - Multisport Card for gym and wellness, with family add-on options - Annual public transport reimbursement up to a set limit - Corporate mobile plan with optional family tariff - Learning support through on-demand libraries, mentoring, workshops, and an annual global learning day - Remote work is supported only for candidates residing in the Czech Republic
