About this role
Role overview A Technical Account Manager position dedicated to planning, architecting, and managing professional services engagements centered on data resilience and availability solutions. The role combines deep technical expertise with hands-on project leadership, guiding customers through assessment, design, implementation, and post-deployment optimization of their infrastructure environments. The position is remote in France with regular on-site customer visits and occasional overnight travel.
Responsibilities - Contribute to proposals and Statements of Work for upcoming engagements - Lead the delivery of implementation and consulting services, including project plans, schedules, communication plans, resource plans, and status updates - Support solution assessment, architecture design, and resolution of post-installation issues - Estimate implementation effort and create white papers, solution guides, best-practice documents, and tailored customer documentation - Deliver on-site knowledge transfer sessions and document configurations and completed activities - Analyze installed customer environments and recommend optimal configurations while bridging communication between clients and internal support teams - Spot additional needs within customer environments that the solution portfolio can address and feed process and documentation improvements back to the team
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in a technology field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) - Industry credentials such as VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, or comparable experience, plus project management certifications such as Prince2, ITIL, or PMP - Hands-on experience with data protection and availability products - Demonstrated background in consulting and project management within enterprise environments - Significant expertise across virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage systems, networking protocols (Fibre Channel, Ethernet), and enterprise applications (Exchange, SQL, Oracle) - Deep familiarity with data management, data protection, data analytics, data center operations, business continuity, operating systems, and cloud technologies - Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and accounts - Business-proficient French and English, with willingness to travel overnight
Nice to have - Experience with modern or disruptive storage platforms alongside traditional backup architectures - Working knowledge of cloud services, capabilities, and protocols
