Role overview
The Director of Product, Machine Learning & Decisioning Platforms will set product direction for the platforms that support automated credit decisioning and machine-learning capabilities. This senior leadership role manages and develops product managers while partnering closely with engineering, machine learning, and data science leaders to improve model development, deployment, experimentation, monitoring, pricing, and underwriting systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of product managers while raising product-management quality across interconnected areas. - Define strategy and roadmaps for machine-learning and credit-decisioning platforms. - Partner with technical leaders to improve model lifecycle management, versioning, deployment, forecasting, experimentation, and monitoring. - Evolve decisioning systems so customer information, model outputs, and business outcomes are connected effectively. - Identify promising machine-learning opportunities, validate them through focused MVPs, and scale the strongest solutions. - Create repeatable processes for evaluating, onboarding, and integrating data providers and other machine-learning capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience. - At least eight years of product-management experience, including ownership of technical or platform products. - Experience managing and developing product managers across multiple related teams. - Strong technical fluency and a track record of working effectively with engineering, machine-learning, and data-science organizations. - Experience as a data scientist, machine-learning engineer, or comparable technical contributor. - Background with model lifecycle management, decisioning systems, experimentation, optimization, real-time inference, or online financial products.
