Senior QA Automation Developer (Platform)

Role overview

The QA-Core team exists so every engineering team can test their software quickly and trust the result. The Senior QA Automation Developer (Platform) will architect and build test automation infrastructure, tooling, and agentic solutions that increase engineering productivity across the organization. This is a build-focused position rather than a traditional product QA role: the work centers on designing services from scratch, shipping them to production clusters, and owning them long term. The role partners closely with product teams to understand their automation needs and deliver reliable, adopted solutions.

Responsibilities

- Design and own the automation framework for functional and performance testing across multiple engineering teams. - Build agents that automate existing QA and testing workflows and reduce engineering friction. - Build the applications and services that automation depends on, deploy them, and operate them in production environments. - Take prototypes end to end: build demos in a timely manner, gather feedback from the teams that would use them, and iterate through successive versions until each solution is hardened, monitored, and running at production quality. - Identify gap areas in existing frameworks and tools, then iterate toward solutions that close those gaps.

Requirements

- 5–7+ years building production software, with demonstrated depth across test infrastructure, test frameworks, and developer tooling, and working knowledge of platform engineering. - Proven track record building agentic solutions and test automation frameworks from the ground up—designed, shipped, iterated on, and adopted as part of how other engineers work. - Fluency with agentic coding tools as part of the daily workflow, including orchestrating multiple agents and reviewing agent-generated pull requests. - Hands-on experience with microservices, Kubernetes, and managing the deployment lifecycle. - Ability to take an ambiguous problem statement and independently scope a defensible solution.

Nice to have

- Working knowledge of Java, Python, Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, TestNG, Maven, Git, Jenkins, ArgoCD, SQL, Grafana, SumoLogic, Docker, Gatling, Claude Code, or MCP server.
