Senior QA Automation Developer (HELOC)

Role overview A senior quality engineering role focused on building and scaling automated test infrastructure for a consumer lending product line. The position combines hands-on test development with AI-assisted workflows, owning quality end-to-end from feature design through production deployment. It is a fully remote opportunity for candidates based in Canada.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain test automation at the pace of feature delivery using AI-assisted development tools and existing functional/performance frameworks - Use large language models to generate feature test plans and curate internal knowledge stores for automation and deep-testing efforts - Design custom AI-enabled workflows that let any developer run existing automation, interpret failures, and troubleshoot environments - Spin up disposable environments on demand to run functional and performance tests across microservices with varied versions and configurations - Configure, patch, and deploy services through CI/CD pipelines all the way to production - Analyze production logs, reproduce issues in non-production environments, and partner with the platform QA team on validation tooling

Requirements - Hands-on experience developing automation in Java with Selenium and/or Playwright inside an IDE such as IntelliJ or Eclipse - Familiarity with deploying services on Kubernetes using tools like ArgoCD and Jenkins - Practical experience using Docker and headless browser execution to improve test infrastructure efficiency - Working knowledge of log and monitoring tools such as SumoLogic, Kibana, Honeycomb, or Grafana - Comfort working in an Agile delivery model with a strong drive to automate and ship quality features quickly

Nice to have - Experience with performance-testing tooling such as Gatling and HTTP clients including REST Assured or OkHttp
