Role overview Join a senior Site Reliability Engineer team responsible for keeping a large-scale European cloud platform running smoothly. The work centers on operating and evolving Linux-based infrastructure that the team itself has built, with a strong emphasis on automation, monitoring, and software-driven operations. The position blends hands-on operational duties with infrastructure design and collaboration with development teams.
Responsibilities - Support development teams in implementing, rolling out, and testing new features and products - Plan and build development, QA, and production infrastructure in line with operational best practices - Maintain and continuously improve several existing systems - Contribute to the development of a managed Kubernetes service offering - Handle daily operational tasks with the operations team, focusing on the software side, automation, and monitoring - Plan and execute change management and regular maintenance with minimal production impact
Requirements - Several years of Linux server administration experience - Good understanding of distributed computing systems - Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes - Knowledge of virtualization and storage systems - Experience with high-availability databases, preferably MySQL and PostgreSQL - Scripting skills in Bash and Python - Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Ansible, Terraform, or OpenTofu - Ability to design and implement monitoring solutions - Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines - Basic knowledge of server and networking hardware and data center environments
