Senior Software Engineer

Role overview A senior full-stack engineering role focused on advancing a web application and its underlying technology stack. The position emphasizes building well-designed, high-performant software that supports complex business rules, integrations, and logic, while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to drive speed, quality, and innovation across the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities - Evaluate product and technical requirements, provide effort estimates, surface risks, and propose implementation approaches - Design, build, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and performant product features - Partner with Product Management to review designs, present prototypes, and iterate on solutions balancing customer value, technical quality, and delivery timelines - Take ownership of features and services through the full lifecycle, from design to deployment, monitoring, and support - Identify opportunities to improve architecture, tooling, and development practices - Conduct thorough code and design reviews, offering constructive feedback that improves code quality, maintainability, and consistency - Ensure software meets quality standards through testing, design reviews, and adherence to best practices

Requirements - 5+ years of full-stack Java experience (Java 8 or higher) in complex enterprise software environments - 4+ years of experience with modern front-end frameworks, preferably React - Working knowledge of MVC patterns, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery - Experience designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations - Proficiency in data modeling and database design, including strong SQL skills - Hands-on experience with Git, Tomcat, and modern CI/CD pipelines including Docker containers and Kubernetes - Demonstrated experience leading or participating in incident response, root-cause analysis, and postmortems

Nice to have - Experience using AI coding assistants responsibly to improve development speed and quality - Experience building AI agents and skills - Familiarity with GoLang - Strong communication skills and comfort working collaboratively in a remote setting - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

Benefits and work setup - Salary range of $142,800 to $155,000 per year - Eligibility for employee equity and discretionary bonus compensation - Participation in employee benefits plans and programs
