Job details
About this role
Role overview Contribute to a small, high-performing engineering team working on the systems that power price transparency across the U.S. healthcare marketplace. The Transactions group owns meaningful, end-to-end product work with real visibility: framing problems, shaping technical design, building features, and shipping them to production. The role is product-minded and full-stack, with the expectation that engineers can comfortably move between APIs, data models, pipelines, integrations, and front-end UI.
Responsibilities - Drive features from problem definition and technical design through implementation, deployment, and iteration in production. - Build across the stack as needed: APIs, data models, pipelines, integrations, and user-facing UI components. - Raise the quality bar through shared ownership, thoughtful code review, and high-quality, well-tested contributions. - Lead technical discussions, surface risks early, and clearly communicate progress to teammates and stakeholders. - Collaborate closely with product and design to refine and improve the user flows that matter most to customers.
Requirements - Five or more years of professional experience with Python in a modern production stack. - Proficiency with a current front-end framework such as Vue or React. - A demonstrable track record of shipping complex, customer-facing features from concept through production. - Strong SQL skills, including experience designing schemas and optimizing queries for non-trivial data problems. - Product-minded mindset: a genuine interest in why something is being built and whether it moved the needle. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus a B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote within the United States with flexible working hours. - Competitive pay plus equity options; 401(k) with four percent matching. - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans with FSA, DCFSA, and HSA options, plus company-sponsored disability and life insurance. - Unlimited paid time off and generous paid family leave. - A $750 work-from-home setup budget, quarterly co-working stipend, a monthly health and wellness benefit, and an annual learning and development stipend. - Paid biannual in-person company summits.
