Quality control specialist for AI/ ML with Spanish (ES) language

Role overview Quality control contributors are needed for an AI language initiative aimed at advancing speech recognition systems. The position involves reviewing completed transcription work in Spanish (Spain) and confirming that automated transcripts have been cleanly converted into polished, readable text. This is a flexible, project-based role suited to detail-oriented linguists working independently.

Responsibilities - Examine finished display transcription tasks against project standards. - Match polished outputs to the original lexical transcripts and confirm guideline compliance. - Check the accurate use of punctuation, capitalization, numerals, dates, times, monetary values, and abbreviations. - Listen to source audio to resolve ambiguous cases. - Provide feedback on recurring problems and apply quality criteria consistently. - Complete assigned QC volume within agreed deadlines.

Requirements - Excellent written command of Spanish, with sensitivity to orthographic norms. - Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect subtle inconsistencies. - Familiarity with Spanish punctuation, capitalization, and written conventions. - Confidence following detailed style guides and applying them uniformly. - Standard computer skills and a stable internet connection. - Independence and a track record of meeting quality and productivity targets.

Nice to have - Prior experience in transcription, proofreading, quality control, annotation, or linguistics work.
