Quality control specialist for AI/ ML with German language

Role overview

This is a remote, project-based quality control role supporting an AI speech recognition program for the German language. The contributor performs second-pass review of machine-generated transcripts, polishing them into readable, properly normalized display text that matches strict project guidelines. The work is well suited to someone with a sharp editorial eye and a strong grasp of written German conventions.

Responsibilities

- Audit finished display transcription deliverables to confirm they meet quality and consistency standards - Compare cleaned output against the original lexical transcript and the project's style guide - Verify punctuation, capitalization, numerals, dates, times, currencies, and abbreviations - Make sure the original meaning and wording of the spoken audio is preserved throughout cleanup - Resolve ambiguous cases by listening to the matching reference audio - Deliver completed QC work within assigned deadlines and productivity targets

Requirements

- Excellent written German with solid command of punctuation, capitalization, and orthographic rules - Strong attention to detail and ability to spot subtle inconsistencies in formatted text - Discipline to follow detailed written guidelines and apply them consistently - Basic computer skills paired with a stable internet connection - Comfortable working independently while hitting quality and throughput targets

Nice to have

- Prior experience in transcription, proofreading, annotation, or other linguistic data projects - Familiarity with speech recognition systems or AI training data pipelines
