Senior Full-stack Engineer (React/Node) (Backend-Focused) - Real Estate - Mexico/Remote

Role overview

The position is backend-leaning, designing PostgreSQL schemas and distributed services while still delivering polished React/Next.js user interfaces. You will own features end-to-end in autonomous, product-focused teams that value clean architecture, reliability, and exceptional user experience.

Responsibilities

- Own the full feature lifecycle, from database schema design and backend services through frontend delivery and production monitoring. - Design and maintain scalable event-driven and distributed systems with strong guarantees around reliability and data consistency. - Develop and optimize complex PostgreSQL queries, migrations, and transactional workflows for high-performance financial operations. - Build resilient third-party integrations using webhooks, queues, retry mechanisms, and reconciliation processes. - Implement reliability patterns such as idempotency, dead-letter queues, outbox patterns, and fault-tolerant processing. - Ship responsive React interfaces and contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability, observability, and operational excellence. - Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, mentor peers, and collaborate across product, design, and engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

- 5+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience with deep Node.js and React/Next.js expertise. - Strong background designing PostgreSQL schemas, writing complex queries, and handling asynchronous event processing. - Demonstrated experience building fault-tolerant, distributed applications in fintech, payments, billing, payroll, or ledgering contexts. - Hands-on familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi and observability platforms like Datadog or OpenTelemetry. - Experience working in regulated environments with standards such as SOC2 or PCI-DSS. - Systems-thinking mindset with sharp attention to data integrity, edge cases, and operational quality, plus comfort working autonomously.

- Hands-on use of AI-assisted or agentic coding platforms. - Property-based testing experience with frameworks such as fast-check. - Prior mentoring or technical leadership within small, high-impact teams. - Background optimizing applications for scalability and reliability in high-transaction-volume platforms.
