Senior Full-stack Engineer (React/Node) (Backend-Focused) - Real Estate - Dominican Republic/Remote

Role overview Build and operate production-grade systems for a real-estate technology and media platform where engineering supports high-volume financial workflows and polished user experiences. This senior, backend-focused full-stack role spans PostgreSQL data modeling, distributed services, React/Next.js interfaces, reliability engineering, and observability, with substantial ownership from design through monitoring.

Responsibilities - Own features across database schema design, backend development, frontend delivery, deployment, and production monitoring. - Design and maintain event-driven, distributed systems with strong consistency, fault tolerance, and scalability. - Create complex PostgreSQL queries, migrations, and transactional workflows for sensitive, high-volume operations. - Develop resilient third-party integrations using webhooks, queues, retries, reconciliation, idempotency, dead-letter queues, and outbox patterns. - Build responsive React and Next.js interfaces while contributing to architecture, code review, technical leadership, and engineering mentoring. - Improve observability, operational practices, infrastructure automation, security, and compliance for services handling critical data.

Requirements - At least five years of relevant software engineering experience, including senior-level ownership of production systems. - Strong backend expertise with Node.js, PostgreSQL, APIs, asynchronous processing, and distributed-system design. - Full-stack capability with React and Next.js, plus an emphasis on clean architecture and high-quality user experiences. - Experience with financial, payments, billing, payroll, ledgering, or other high-integrity transactional domains. - Hands-on use of AI-assisted or agentic development tools and a practical, systems-thinking approach to edge cases and data integrity. - Ability to work autonomously in fast-paced product teams and communicate effectively across engineering, product, and design.

Nice to have - Experience with Terraform, Pulumi, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, or similar observability and infrastructure automation platforms. - Familiarity with SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or other compliance-heavy environments. - Knowledge of property-based testing tools such as fast-check. - Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership initiatives. - A track record of improving scalability, reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence.
