Senior Full-stack Engineer (React/Node) (Backend-Focused) - Real Estate - Colombia/Remote

Role overview A Senior Full-Stack Engineer position with a backend focus, building resilient, scalable systems for a tech-powered real estate platform combining luxury residential services, education, and creative capabilities. The role spans the full stack from PostgreSQL schema design and distributed backend services to React/Next.js user interfaces within small autonomous teams.

Responsibilities - Own the full lifecycle of product features from database schema design through frontend delivery and production monitoring - Design and maintain scalable event-driven and distributed systems with strong reliability and data consistency guarantees - Develop complex PostgreSQL queries, migrations, and transactional workflows for high-performance operations - Build resilient third-party integrations using webhooks, queues, retry mechanisms, and reconciliation processes - Implement reliability engineering patterns including idempotency, dead-letter queues, outbox patterns, and fault-tolerant processing - Create responsive user interfaces using React and Next.js while contributing to architectural decisions

Requirements - 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience building fault-tolerant applications - Deep expertise in PostgreSQL, Node.js, and React/Next.js - Experience with event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and financial, payments, or ledgering workflows - Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar agentic coding platforms - Strong systems-thinking mindset with attention to edge cases and data integrity - Excellent communication skills with ability to work autonomously

Nice to have - Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or Pulumi - Observability platform experience with Datadog or OpenTelemetry - Familiarity with SOC2 or PCI-DSS compliance environments - Experience mentoring engineers and participating in technical leadership - Background in fintech or high-transaction-volume platforms
