Senior Full-stack Engineer (React/Node) (Backend-Focused) - Real Estate - Brazil/Remote

Role overview

A senior full-stack engineer position with a backend-heavy emphasis, supporting a technology-driven real estate platform that blends brokerage operations, media, and education into a vertically integrated ecosystem. The role centers on building scalable, event-driven services and data-intensive systems while contributing to polished React/Next.js user experiences. Responsibilities

- Own the full lifecycle of product features, from PostgreSQL schema design and backend implementation through frontend delivery and production monitoring - Design, build, and maintain scalable event-driven and distributed systems with strong guarantees around reliability and data consistency - Develop and optimize complex PostgreSQL queries, migrations, and transactional workflows supporting high-stakes data operations - Build resilient integrations with third-party systems using webhooks, queues, retry mechanisms, and reconciliation processes - Apply reliability engineering patterns including idempotency, dead-letter queues, outbox patterns, and fault-tolerant processing - Create responsive, high-quality interfaces in React and Next.js, collaborating across product, design, and engineering stakeholders

Requirements

- 5+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience with deep Node.js backend and React/Next.js frontend expertise - Strong PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, complex query optimization, migrations, and transactional workflows - Hands-on experience designing and operating event-driven distributed systems at scale - Practical familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar agentic coding platforms - Systems-thinking mindset, attention to data integrity and edge cases, and ability to work autonomously - Excellent communication skills and comfort participating in code reviews and mentoring

Nice to have

- Background with financial, payments, billing, payroll, or ledgering systems - Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or Pulumi - Observability and monitoring platforms such as Datadog or OpenTelemetry - Exposure to regulated or compliance-heavy environments, including SOC2 or PCI-DSS - Property-based testing frameworks such as fast-check - Prior mentoring or technical leadership contributions - Experience in fintech or high-transaction-volume platforms
