Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Mental Health Care
Job details
About this role
Role overview Build short-cycle software solutions that improve business workflows through applied AI, as part of a six-month initiative supporting teams outside engineering. Projects are selected from stakeholder priorities and vary in size and format, from standalone tools to integrations, services, or AI agents. You will clarify the need directly with users, choose an approach, and take each solution from design through implementation, working with a platform team on production deployment.
Responsibilities - Meet with business stakeholders to understand their processes and identify useful opportunities for AI. - Shape high-level requests into workable solutions, design the architecture, and own implementation end to end. - Build internal applications and integrations, using language models or agents where appropriate. - Use AI-assisted development to create early prototypes, gather user feedback, and refine the solution. - Explain technical choices and progress in accessible terms, and report status regularly to engineering leadership. - Set up local environments and coordinate with platform specialists to deploy solutions while following privacy, security, and governance controls.
Requirements - Senior-level full-stack engineering ability, including designing and building applications end to end; Java or Python and React are preferred. - Strong communication and stakeholder skills, including explaining technical work to non-technical audiences. - Product judgment: uncovering stakeholder needs and proposing a suitable solution without relying on a detailed specification. - Enthusiasm for AI and willingness to use AI tools regularly in development. - Experience integrating language models into applications, or strong full-stack experience with relevant AI prototypes; production LLM experience is not required. - Ability to own architecture, infrastructure, and tooling independently, with working familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, or AWS.
Benefits and work setup The role is described as fully remote, with schedule autonomy and paid time off. The assignment is expected to last six months. Compensation is described as competitive and paid in U.S. dollars; no specific amount is provided.
