Senior Front-End Engineer (Next.js/React) - Real Estate - Mexico

Role overview A senior frontend-leaning software engineering role focused on a real estate platform where the in-house team has historically been backend-heavy. The position calls for a "browser-first" engineer who obsesses over user experience, modern CSS, and pixel-perfect execution while comfortably navigating a full-stack ecosystem. It pairs with backend-focused engineers to translate complex data into intuitive, performant, visually polished interfaces.

Responsibilities - Develop the frontend for the core real estate platform to a high aesthetic standard aligned with the brand. - Own CSS, layout, and responsive design end-to-end, ensuring applications feel fluid, performant, and visually striking. - Partner with a backend-heavy engineering team to integrate APIs and data models into a seamless frontend experience. - Build and maintain a scalable, reusable component library that enables rapid feature iteration across Next.js and SvelteKit environments. - Champion frontend excellence, raising the bar for visual quality, accessibility, and interaction design across the platform. - Work across the stack as needed, including Node.js services, APIs, and PostgreSQL-backed data.

Requirements - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong frontend focus. - Expert-level proficiency in React, Next.js, and TypeScript. - Mastery of HTML5 and CSS3, including modern layout, responsive design, and styling techniques. - Proven experience building complex, responsive web applications from scratch. - Strong communication skills with the ability to advocate for frontend quality inside a backend-leaning team. - Comfort working across the stack when needed, including Node.js, REST APIs, and PostgreSQL.

Nice to have - Hands-on experience with SvelteKit or other modern meta-frameworks alongside Next.js. - A portfolio or examples showing pixel-perfect execution on consumer-facing interfaces. - Familiarity with real estate, marketplace, or listings-style product surfaces.
