Responsibilities

- Track and synthesize developments in AI research, foundation models, agents, evaluation, and data enrichment. - Test models, tools, datasets, and techniques through lightweight prototypes and experiments. - Identify opportunities to enrich or reorganize multimodal and audiovisual data assets, and explore ways to create high-quality training corpora. - Turn findings into opportunity briefs, experiment plans, success criteria, and recommendations. - Lead research programs and proof-of-concepts to test hypotheses and reduce uncertainty. - Advise product, prototyping, and engineering partners; maintain briefings and knowledge resources for the wider team.

Requirements

- 5+ years of applied research or machine learning research experience. - A hands-on, experimental approach to learning new models, APIs, datasets, and tools. - Deep familiarity with large language and multimodal models, retrieval-augmented generation, agent architectures, fine-tuning, distillation, and evaluation methods. - Ability to communicate research findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. - Master’s degree in Applied Sciences, Statistics, or a related field; the source lists this as required under preferred experience.

Nice to have

- Experience discovering opportunities and defining problems, rather than focusing only on implementation. - Familiarity with synthetic data, active learning, weak supervision, or knowledge graphs. - Experience working with prototyping or applied teams, or ability to ramp up quickly in the relevant domain.
